To participate in the UConn College Access and Preparation Program (UCAP) students must meet one or both of the following criteria:
- Be first-generation to college (neither parent or guardian has a degree from a four-year college).
- The family must meet federal income guidelines and be considered low-income (parents/guardians’ income documentation will be requested in order to complete the application).
Eligible students may access the 2021 UCAP application here.
What happens after a student applies?
UCAP staff will review each application. Students selected for an interview will be notified and interviews will take place at the student's high school. Students who are accepted to the program will be notified in May.
