Assistant Professor, CLAS
Current Research Interests:
Host-microbe interactions, microbe-microbe interactions, immunology, ecotoxicology; developmental biology. Basically we study how microbes affect stickleback fish from different populations, including overall development of the fish host, immune system development, and what happens when those microbial communities are disrupted.
Current Research Projects:
Examination of microbe-microbe interactions in vitro and in vivo; microbe resistance to various pollutants; creating mock communities that can promote normal host development when challenged with disruptants.
