Young Tang

CAHNR Assistant Professor

Animal Science

Current Research Interests:
My lab is interested in the study of the cellular mechanism and generation of livestock pluripotent stem cells including the induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). The second research interest is to understand the virus-host response in order to find ways to prevent and treat infectious animal diseases. We are also interested in study of signaling pathways that regulate male fertility in mammals.

Current Research Projects:
1) to generate bona fide bovine iPSCs.
2) to study cellular mechanism and identify veterinary medicine for the treatment of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus infection.
